'Satyameva Jayate 2' Review: People Say John's Film Is An ‘Assault On Logic And Humankind’

John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2 is a vigilante action drama, along the lines of the 2018 film. If you have seen the trailer, you would have an idea that the actor has a triple role in the movie. We have a politician, a cop, a farmer leader, and a killer on the loose, and each one is played by John himself. While one is a father, two of them are sons who’ve different ideologies.

Here’s the trailer:

Not that the trailer looked exciting, fans were expecting the movie to turn out to be an entertainer. However, now that the film's out, the common emotion on Twitter is that it has failed to impress the audience. People who got to catch a screening in the morning are bashing the movie. People found it absolutely trash and found the plot unbearable. One of the users also pointed out the dialogues were also cheesy. People also slammed Divya Khosla’s performance and didn’t find it up to the mark.

Talking about his character in the film, John had said, "I knew that I will be playing two characters, one that of the vigilante which is inspired by the first part of the film and second is of a police officer. They are twin brothers and I am also playing the father of these two youngsters when the story goes to a flashback."

He added, “Initially, I was not convinced with playing the father's character but eventually, I did. That character is set in a different time and era. Whereas the story of DSP Jay and Satya is set in the present time. Though this was not the first time I played a police officer, as you know I played a real-life iconic personality like late DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav in Batla House but playing DSP Jay was very different. He is a righteous yet fun guy who takes off his uniform in a face-off with a vigilante. It will be fun to watch characters for our audience.”
