Mahendra Singh Dhoni sues over Rs 150 crore dues, Troubles mount for Amrapali

Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is seeking to recover around Rs 150 crore from real estate firm Amrapali Group. Amrapali Group has allegedly not paid Dhoni for years for being the brand ambassador of the firm that is now caught in a financial crisis and hasn’t been able to complete housing projects in various, according to Economic Times.

Rhiti Sports also manages other cricket stars like KL Rahul, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and South African Francois Du Plessis.

Economic Times quoted Rhiti Sports managing director Arun Pandey as saying that “They haven’t given us money for branding and marketing activities.” He had further added that the realty firm owes close to Rs 200 crore to the sports management company and filed a recovery suit in the Delhi High Court against Amrapali.

Dhoni was the brand ambassador of Amrapali Group for the past 6-7 years has resigned as the brand ambassador of the realty firm in April 2016, days after being trolled on social media by residents of an Amrapali housing project. The residents had tagged Dhoni in their tweets, asking him to either dissociate himself from the builder or make sure that they complete the pending work, the ET report said.
