India youngsters shine in the 2018 IPL auction, Gauti to lead Delhi Daredevils

The two-day mega Indian Premier League 2018 auction took place on January 27 and 28 in Bangalore. The eight franchisees assembled together under one roof with the aim to make their squads stronger than the previous season. 
The franchisees cashed in huge amounts on Indian players mostly. But England star all-rounder Ben Stokes came out as the costliest buy for the upcoming season of the cash-rich tournament. Rajasthan Royals went all out for the talented all-rounder as he cost them a whopping Rs. 12.5 crore. However, last year Rising Pune Supergiants bought him for Rs. 14.5 crore and he proved his worth with 316 runs and 12 wickets. Rajasthan Royals will be hoping for the same performance from him if not better.
Jaydev Unadkat was bought for an insane amount of Rs. 11.5 crore by Rajasthan Royals making him the costliest Indian. The skilled fast bowler was second on the list of wicket-takers last season with 24 wickets in 12 games. 
KL Rahul has found a new home ground as Kings XI Punjab cashed in as much as Rs. 11 crore for the youngster. Rahul will prove to be a key purchase for the KXIP as he can bat anywhere in the top 4 positions along with a natural ability to be a wicketkeeper. Manish Pandey, too, grabbed Rs. 11 crore and will be excited to prove his worth for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Glenn Maxwell was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs. 9 crores. Additionally, Delhi lured the services of Delhi local boy Gautam Gambhir who will also captain the side. He has, previously, helped KKR win two seasons with his able leadership.
