Alonso tests Toyota's Le Mans 'rocket send'

Fernando Alonso got his first experience of the Toyota he will race at the current year's Le Mans 24 Hours, looking at the recently discharged TS050-Hybrid auto to a rocket transport.

Alonso will challenge the celebrated perseverance race as a major aspect of a broad to manage Toyota which will see him race at each World Endurance Championship round which does not conflict with a Formula One race. The arrangement enables him to proceed with his quest for motorsport's Triple Crown, something he began a year ago with a presentation at the Indy 500.

Toyota has discharged a video of the Spaniard's first trial of his recently revealed auto, which he set through its paces last week in a three-day test at Spain's Aragon circuit. Alonso officially tried the 2017-spec a year ago.

Unmistakably, the refreshed model left a decent impact on the two-time best on the planet.

"The auto is simply astonishing, this machine is something extremely exceptional," he said. "The four-wheel drive, together with the increase in the half and half framework influences the quickening to like a rocket send. You leave the corners and you feel the pressure of the seat. Any hustling driver should feel that one time."

Alonso's present 2018 calendar incorporates every one of the 21 F1 races with McLaren, Le Mans, and three World Endurance Championship rounds. That may ascend to four if the Fuji race is moved from its present conflict with the U.S. Great Prix. The Spaniard has officially challenged a race this year, participating in the Daytona 24 Hours in January.
