Apple apologizes, Drops prices of a replacement battery

Apple has finally issued an unprecedented apology to all its users over its handling of the admission that
it slows down older iPhones. Top officials stated last week that it throttles phones to extend their
battery life and stop them from shutting down, and expectedly, the comments invited lawsuits across
the world.

However, a day ago it published a statement saying: “We do know that some of you are feeling Apple
has let you down”. It also revealed that it is reducing the price of an alternate or replacement battery,
and is planning to show users exactly how much their battery has devalued.

It further noted: “We apologize for it. There has been a lot of misunderstanding about this issue which
has come up recently, therefore, we would like to clarify and let you know about some changes we are
making.”

“Our only goal has been to create products that our customers love, and iPhones last as long as possible
is a vital part of that.”

Apple has decided to reduce the price of a warranty expired iPhone battery replacement by $50, i.e.,
from $79 to $29, but it has not yet disclosed the pricing of the same outside the US.
